BIO
I was born in Los Angeles in 1947. After graduation from high school I spent time at community college and then joined the Army in 1966. After the service, I married and enrolled at Orange Coast College, later transferring to Cal Poly San Luis Obispo where I received my Bachelor of Architecture degree. I was licensed in 1979, and practiced for 40 years.
ART
As far back as I can remember, I’ve always had some involvement in craft, art, design, and construction. Since 1988 I have been filling sketch books with graphic musings.
In the 90’s I painted with acrylics on canvas and created wall-hung pieces with wood and wire. My first period of concentrated focus started in 2006 with acrylic paint on hardboard tiles. Recently, I have rediscovered pen and pencil on paper.
I am also interested in the theory of art and expression, particularly analytical abstraction.
